thought i'd join up for a bit fish talk with other maggot drowners.

i'm not the best angler in the world but i give it a go,just getting into carping after finally giving in to the desire for bigger fish.

I love a bit of piking though (PB 18 pound from Rudyard),which was my first ever pike.It frightened me to death, ha ha.

i'm up for a few of these matches too, never done any match fishing so looking forward to that.

anyway looking forward to a chat and some tips of you guys.

Welcome aboard mate, hope you like and I look forward to reading your posts Smile

I have also just got into Carp fishing, tail end of the season and it is all I will fish for this coming year (apart from some of the matches).

Lovely pike too, I have never fished for pike and am determined to do so soon.

In what way mate? never had any trouble there to be honest, there's always other anglers on there.

dont know why but most seem to be scousers, one did 2 months on there over winter and wasnt going home untill he caught the big one (stumpy).he had a gas bottle bigger than his bivvy, god knows how he got it to his peg.

Got a few places like that around Nottingham & Mansfield, usually Chavvy youths who want to intimidate you into giving them your money or phone silent

Luckily so far I've never experienced anything like it, have heard a few stories like Ash, but nothing happened to me.
