Took the dog for a walk earlier today around Holden lane pool, nice location , few bivvies set up, the water although very weedy is crystal clear, even saw a decent sized pike just wallowing in the margins, going give it a try I think , anyone fished it ?

Used to fish it with me dad when I was little and lived in Sneyd. Hear that it is a good venue but get the chavs round there!

Lots of carp in here and it does fish well in winter, we did well using solid PVA bags with chopped boilies & micro pellets.

Used to be a good water until they put a load of stockies in there, you are right the fish go to mid 20's. Very clear water which means the fish are very dark, lots of weed to contend with. Chods used to work well fished from the car park end about 80 yds out, where it begins the drop off towards the main road.
