Same here, a good walk around the lake then up and around the hills Smile normally Baden hall mate, me and my dad went last Saturday and carp fished middle pool, my dad had 2 small carp to about 6lb and i hadone which was a lovley 14.8oz mirror, il have to get the picture up later. this year I'm looking to target some of those parkhall lake carp, some lumps in there, I know for a fact there are carp over 25lb in there which I wouldn't mind catching Smile Dan.

Well I would never have thought it! Only ever see people bit bashing there so didn't think there was anything decent in it, plus its free and doesn't seem deep enough! lol

Not really fished Baden, this is my first season 'carp fishing' so I'm on a big learning curve Smile

Yeah it surprised me when I heard it! From the bailiffs that patrol the lakes they say their are no more than 30-40 carp in there mostly due to the number of pike in the lake! for some reason iv never seriously carp fished it despite only living 5mins away. iv only landed one carp from there which was around 7-8 pound, me and my mate went down years ago surface fishing and my mate managed to land a cracking 21lb mirror which I had to wade in to net due to the depths of the margins in the swim we were fishing lol Smile iv been carp fishing now for maybe 8 years so you need to know anything Il try to answer it as best I can. badens a cracking
venue and is well worth fishing, it's a bit up and down at the moment due to the weather changing every 5 mins. we fished the same pool last november on a cold day and we had 20 carp between us all between 10-15lb and yet fishing it last Saturday/ early may we could only manage 3 carp, funny thing fishing Smile Dan.

Thanks for that Keith, can't wait to give it a try. Do you think there are still some tench in there? My dad fancies a session after some tench, personally I can't see their being many left in there, due to the number of pike, only the large specimen left in there!! And dan I used to pike and corse fish a lot on the gasometer pool, carp wise I was told by the bailif at the time that most of the carp that used to live in that lake have now been taken out and put in parkhall lake Smile Dan
